Residential Adaptation

The Québec government's Residential Adaptation Assistance Program (RAAP) was created to give financial assistance to families having to adapt their home in order to make it more accessible to a handicapped person.

The amount granted is not based on the applicant's revenue.

The maximum amount granted by the program is:

  • $16,000 for a home owner
  • $8,000 for a tenant

However, it seems that if your child became handicapped following an auto accident, the conditions for adapting your home may be different. In this case, contact the SAAQ.
